The Daily Five is the goal of devoting a small slice of our day (even just five minutes) to reading The Bible. This site was created as a way of encouraging each other in this goal and creating a format to discuss, ask questions, and share how the verses are impacting our lives. We are following a plan to guide us through the New Testament in one year, one chapter at a time. Feel free to join our journey at any point!
The Daily Five is brought to you by the youth ministry at Linworth United Methodist Church

(FYI: We are switching the placement of the book of Revelation and the book of John in the plan)
Like many items on your daily to-do list, if you don't plan a specific time to read the Bible, it's probably not going to happen. Before you go to bed each night, make a plan for when you are going to read the Bible the next day. "Carve" a slice of each day to devote yourself to the Bible. For some people it might be the same time every day, for others it might change depending on your schedule. Many people find it's easiest to read first thing in the morning or last thing before they go to bed. It doesn't matter what time you choose as long as you do choose a time.
Tip of the week: Time Carving
